Product overview WESTFALIA-Automotive: Electrical kits

The electrical kit is used to connect the trailer to the towing vehicle. Electrical kits are grouped according to 7- and 13-pin systems and furthermore as universal and vehicle-specific systems.

WESTFALIA - Tronic

The Tronic electrical kit has been specially developed by Westfalia and only requires wiring to be made at the tail end of a vehicle. Malfunctions in the trailer turn signal system are indicated by an increased flashing rate of the turn signal indicators in the vehicle. The control unit of the Tronic series is available in 12-, 16-, and 30-pin versions.

Adapter

To make the electrical connection between the towing vehicle and the trailer, it is necessary to insert the plug of the towed vehicle into the socket of the electrical kit of the towing vehicle.

This is often problematic, for instance when trying to connect a 13-pin socket with a 7-pin plug or vice versa. For all of these cases, we have included the corresponding adapters in our sales programme. These useful accessories should always be available in your vehicle's boot.
